Receiver Unit (508)

The Micro PC Desktop Receiver allows TV viewing at a PC. The 508/P unit outputs baseband video and audio to a suitable video inlay card housed inside the PC. Local channel and volume selection is made through the MediaStar Desktop Software GUI, the PC then communicates this instruction through a RS232 connection to the Desktop Receiver. The 508/P connects via the Cat-5/UTP cabling infrastructure, at distances of up to 800 meters, (2,600 ft), to a front panel RJ45 socket on a Quad Outlet Blade, (Part 560/SPTL), this is housed inside the MediaStar Pro Hub, (Part 500/SL).

508 Pro Micro Desktop PC Receiver unit, Quick Reference Guide, 2.5mm Jack Plug to 9-way "D" type RS232 cable, phono to phono cable, phono to 3.5mm Jack cable, 3.5mm female to female jack socket adapter, Velcro mounting kit. 507/UK - The MediaStar Pro End Point PSU is used to provide local power to either a 507, 508 or 512 endpoint receivers. It is needed only where non line powered MediaStar Pro systems are in place. UK plug top PSU - 220V/12V DC.
