These include MediaStar Encoders, LAN-Casters, Re-Casters and Multi-Mux units which are supplied separately to the rack enclosure.
The rack is fitted with a single power supply unit (as part no. 770) or delivered with full “hot swap” dual redundant power supply capability (as part no. 770-DR)
These convert the AC mains input voltage to low voltage DC power for each of the processor modules and provide forced air cooling to the whole rack enclosure. Three LED indicators show the status of the 5 and 12 volt rails and cooling fan operation and where a 79x ‘blade’ is present in the rack, will signal status to the Media Manager administration system and optionally a corporate SNMP monitoring system.
When processor modules are fitted into the rack, their RF and Video/Audio inputs are accessible from the rear side, and network and control interfaces are available on the face. AC mains input to the rack is via IEC connectors on the rear.
Model option 770 can support up to nine blades, model option 770-DR up to eight.
Spare power supply units are available for both models as well as an upgrade kit to allow current field installed 770 single PSU models to be upgraded to dual redundant capability.
Rack chassis fitted with 771 PSU (model 770) or rack chassis fitted with 726 PSU (model 770-DR); Quick Start Guide; AC mains power cable(s); Rack mounting screw set.
Spare PSU units are available (Parts 771-RP and 726-RP) Dual redundant Upgrade kit (Part 770-RP-UG)
